What is an Echidna?

If you really must know...

An echidna is an Australian anteater. It is one of a small group of animals (along with the platypus) that are known as monotremes - mammals that lay eggs. An echidna is about 50 cm (20 inches) long and it is dome-shaped. Like a porcupine, it has short, sharp spikes covering its body, as well as a pointy snout and a sticky tongue that it uses to catch ants and termites. It has no teeth. The echidna has very sharp claws and can burrow underground very quickly.

And what does that have to do with web development?

Echidna's have been described as:

  • Smart
  • Resourceful
  • Determined
  • Sharp (and pointy)
  • Very Ugly

Don't those seem like the traits you would want on your web team?
